No non-economic loss awards

The Employment Appeal Tribunal has ruled that tribunals should not award non-economic loss, either in unfair dismissal or wrongful dismissal cases. According to Berwin Leighton Paisner, the Employment Appeal Tribunal considered the issue of non-economic loss in unfair dismissal cases in three recent cases, the lead case being Dunnachie v Kingston Upon Hull City Council . Leave has been granted for an appeal to the Court of Appeal.
