No jurisdiction for doctors

Employment tribunals do not have jurisdiction over alleged racial discrimination made against the Special Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges as it has its own procedures for dealing with such complaints. The Court of Appeal pointed to the Race Relations Act 1976 which was unambiguous on the issue. This applied to all doctors who applied to the authority, regardless of nationality.
