Adjudication – Right of an assignee to refer a dispute to adjudication – Jurisdiction of adjudicator

The claimant sought summary judgment in order to enforce the decision of an adjudicator. The defendant attempted to resist enforcement on the ground that the claimant, as an assignee of the original construction contract, was not entitled to enforce the decision. The original construction contract provided that "the employer may assign or charge the benefit of this contract at any time without the contractor’s consent".
