Accident victim to sue legal team

A road accident victim is to sue her lawyers after missing out on compensation. The victim was hit by a car when she was aged eight and is now permanently disabled. An offer was made by the driver’s insurers of £400,000, but her lawyers continued with the original claim for £1mn. The Court of Appeal ruled that the driver had not been at fault. The victim, who is now 20, has now won the right to sue her legal team.
