Investment firms in E&O claim

A number of the US investment banks involved in the US$1.4bn settlement with the Securities & Exchange Commission over biased stock research are reported to be considering moves to recover sums from their errors and omissions insurance policies. The firms are watching Credit Suisse First Boston which is making a claim for a reported US$45mn against its insurer, Chubb.
