Larger employees and uniforms

Fitness First, the fitness company at the centre of the scandal over larger employees, has sent a message to all of its employees assuring them that it does not discriminate against larger people. The company had sent an email to regional managers reportedly saying that they should not ask for uniforms over a size 16, on the grounds of cost, but it added that as a company which promotes weight loss and fitness, managers should consider the impact of larger employees, both male and female. The email did stress that it was not asking for a discriminatory recruitment policy.
