Consumer Duty clarification ‘not sufficient’, London market says Steps taken by the UK regulators to simplify the Consumer Duty rules have not gone far enough to address key issues for the London market, trade bodies said. Today the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) outlined a series of changes designed to reduce costs for insurers, including defining which rules apply to commercial insurance. But while some commentators described the revised rules as a “welcome calibration”, others were more critical.
