AM Best warns on US asbestos reserves

Rating agency says insurers risk exhausting asbestos reserves as payouts continue to outpace incurred losses

US property/casualty insurers’ incurred asbestos losses rose again in 2024, climbing to $1.5bn, according to AM Best.
