US property reinsurance quotes coming in 5% to 10% down: Acrisure Re's Piccione The US property reinsurance market should continue to soften going into 2026, according to the head of Acrisure Re’s New York office. Speaking to Insurance Day, Marc Piccione, executive vice-president and managing director at Acrisure Re, says early quotes suggest prices will fall between 5% and 10% at the January 1, 2026 renewal season. Property reinsurance prices have been softening since 2024, with risk-adjusted rate declines of 5% to 10% at this year’s January 1 and mid-year renewals.
