Prison living expenses decision overturned

The two men whose convictions for killing paperboy Carl Bridgewater were quashed after 18 years in prison, and who won compensation in court, have won another legal case. The men had their compensation reduced by 25% because they did not have to pay living expenses whilst in prison. The men went to the High Court and have successfully overturned that decision, arguing that an independent assessor had unlawfully denied them their full compensation amount.
