Van the Man sued for non-appearance

Van Morrison is being sued for more than £100,000 over a concert that was cancelled. The singer is alleged to have pulled out of a concert, having received an advance payment of £23,000. Van Morrison offered a financial settlement but the owners of the hotel where he was due to perform said that it did not cover full compensation. Around 1,600 fans had to be refunded and the hotel owners claim that they lost turnover and damage to their reputation.
