As North America enters the final weeks of the Atlantic hurricane season, experts say it is not especially unusual the
continent has avoided any storms making landfall. But they add North America remains at risk until the season ends, although hurricanes are rather unlikely in its final few
weeks. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. So far this year, no hurricanes have made landfall on
the US mainland.
