Twelve year wait for birth damages
Agreed damages of £1.5mn have been awarded to a boy who suffered brain damage at birth. The boy, now 12-years-old, was born
prematurely, and has cerebral palsy, requires a wheelchair to get around, and requires round-the-clock care. The health authority
said it had settled the case without any admission of liability and at a discounted rate.
