A 20 year old man who was hit by a van causing severe brain damage has received £4.8mn in damages. The man is wheelchair bound
and is unable to communicate fully. It was reported that the van driver was using the van in his own time, and therefore was
technically uninsured, but his employer’s insurers were forced to pay the damages.
