GPS spoofing and groundings: are shipowners still covered?" asks the AAA

A significant issue exists regarding the interplay between traditional marine perils, such as a vessel grounding, and emerging threats stemming from GPS spoofing. This is particularly relevant in the context of modern cyber exclusion clauses found in standard hull and machinery policies. This is the subject of a recent discussion paper released by the advisory and dispute resolution facility offered by the Association of Average Adjusters (AAA).
