Understanding the revised ports and marine facilities safety code

UK ports and marine facilities operate under a framework of safety and governance standards that include the Ports & Marine Facilities Safety Code, the Guide to Good Practice and the Port Good Governance Guide. These standards collectively set expectations for operational safety, accountability and responsible management across the sector. While it is a UK framework, it has been adopted by some Crown dependencies and there is similar guidance in other jurisdictions such as the New Zealand Port and Harbour Safety Code.
