Soft market facing stress test, Aon warns
Despite widespread pricing relief and increased flexibility, conditions represent a “rare and potentially short-lived moment”
in a global market still under
significant underlying pressure, according to Aon. In its Q2 2025 Global Insurance Market Insights report, the broker warned while expanding capacity and
softening prices across many insurance lines are creating favourable conditions for buyers, this apparent relief may not be
sustainable, given persistent structural risks. Property pricing continues to decline, with many US placements seeing double-digit
rate reductions, particularly for shared and layered programmes.
