RSA settle asbestos suit

Another asbestos settlement, this time between Royal & SunAlliance (RSA) and Cape, a building materials and insulation company. Cape had sued RSA over payment of claims brought by former employees of Andersons Insulation, a company bought by Cape in 1963. Andersons had been insured by Royal Insurance, a predecessor of RSA. Cape paid £21m in 2001 in a settlement to compensate South African miners for asbestos-related diseases. No details were given of the RSA settlement.
