MoD pays damages to pilot family
The Ministry of Defence has paid damages of £320,000 to the family of a pilot killed in an air crash. The Royal Navy pilot
was killed with his crew member when his Harrier jet crashed into a hillside. It was claimed that he was not used to the plane
and had not received enough flying time to undertake the low-level flying, and in addition, the weather was unsuitable for
such a flight.
