In the complex and often risky world of maritime operations, the well-being of the crew stands is a critical element of ship safety and efficiency. Historically, a large proportion of maritime accidents have been attributed to human error. Yet, ascribing these solely to crew mistakes without considering the broader context of their working environment would be an oversimplification. It is within this context that insurers, particularly protection & indemnity (P&I) Clubs, are redefining their roles - not only as indemnifiers but as proactive partners in promoting crew well-being and a professional safety culture.
