Shipowners’ Club’s underwriting is at absolute sweet spot: Peacock Careful risk selection, membership retention and the rejection of growth for growth’s sake are among the reasons Shipowners’ Club got its underwriting performance bang on last year while most of its peers lost money, according to its chief executive. The comments by Simon Peacock came after a string of announcements from International Group affiliates in recent weeks confirmed almost all of them made underwriting deficits in 2024/25. The sole exceptions to date have been Gard and Shipowners’.
