Salvors' commitment: saving life, property and protecting the environment

James Herbert, of the ISU, stresses the need for a healthy and thriving salvage sector

The salvage industry has much to celebrate and be proud of, but it faces a number of issues. The overriding issue for marine salvors remains the need to ensure that a professional salvage industry is sustained so that there are commercial salvors available to deal with all kinds of marine casualties all around the world.
