Admiralty - Liability for collision - Collision Regulations 1972 - Failure to turn to starboard - Apportionment of liability

At about 06.01 on 13 March 2021 the bulk carriers Kiveli and Afina I collided off the south coast of Greece close to the Stenó Elafonísou Strait. Kiveli had a length of 193.84 m, a breadth of 27.6 m and an even keel draught of 10.9 m at the time of the collision. The main engine had a power output of 10,625 kW. At the time of the collision Kiveli was carrying a cargo of approximately 36,100 mt of rock phosphate from Casablanca to Bulgaria.
