Def Jam sued for club shooting

Def Jam Records is being sued by the mother of a man shot dead at a club where the record label was hosting a party for its artists. The dead man, an alleged gang member, was involved in a fight in the club when a gun was pulled and he was shot dead. The mother claims that the record label, and the club, the Conga Room, which is also being sued, should have been aware that criminal activity would take place and should have prevented it.
