Hull cleaning
Government agency Innovation Norway has provided sustainable hull-cleaning pioneer ECOsubsea with a NOK69 million (US$6.2
million) Green Growth Loan that will part-fund the construction of more of the company's next-generation hull-cleaning robots,
as it gears up to significantly expand its operations. The loan will support the construction of further robots for use in
Singapore. This comes as ship operators increasingly realise the bottom-line value of keeping hulls clean, which reduces fuel
consumption and CO
2 emissions.
