Business interruption insurance: causation

In London International Exhibition Centre plc v Allianz Insurance plc [2024] EWCA Civ 1026 the Court of Appeal has upheld the first instance decision of Jacobs J [2023] EWHC 1481 (Comm); [2024] Lloyd's Rep IR Plus 27, giving judgment in a series of six expedited test cases on claims under business interruption covers for Covid-19 losses.

The policies were much the same and raised a common issue on causation, although there were other matters for determination.
