Final report published on circumstances of tragic fire

On 4 September 2024 the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, chaired by Sir Martin Moore-Bick, published its second and final report into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the fire at Grenfell Tower in the early hours of 14 June 2017. The inquiry heard from a wide range of factual and expert witnesses and spent around 300 days hearing evidence and deliberating. However, this public inquiry is separate from the police investigation being undertaken by the Metropolitan Police.
