Safety of services

The European Commission has launched a consultation paper on safety of services for consumers, comments required by 8 October 2002. In this context ‘services’ covers financial services, telecommunications, health services, beauty care, travel and tourism and cultural events. It excludes transport services, public services, services provided by professionals acting in their professional capacity and services which do not represent a risk for the health of consumers and liability of service providers.
