Protection of whistle-blower

When faced with a complaint from a worker alleging that they were sacked for whistle-blowing, an employment tribunal should hold a directions hearing to clarify evidence required and to ensure that all statutory requirements for the protection of the whistle-blower were satisfied. This on appeal by the employer against the outcome of a tribunal’s actions.
