Challenge to FSA

The immunity of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) will be challenged in a test case on behalf of shareholders, policyholders and employees of Independent Insurance. This will be handled by law firm Class Action, who besides seeking to establish regulatory failure on the part of the FSA also allege negligence on the part of Independent’s auditors, KPMG. If successful, similar actions could follow against Equitable Life.
