EPA expand toxic clean-up

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to expand its cleanup programme for the WTC area of New York. Previously only cleaning asbestos found in premises, it will now test 250 apartments at random for other potential toxins and will clean lobbies and hallways of apartment buildings at the request of the owners. Up to 30,000 residences in lower Manhattan could be involved.
