Club and player targeted

Manchester City football club will take action against Manchester United and player Roy Keane following admission in his autobiography that, after a long feud, he had deliberately injured player Alf-Inge Haaland in a tackle. Haaland has not played in a match since the occurrence in April 2001. At question will be whether this is primarily caused by the results of the tackle or from an unconnected knee injury, and whether in harming a club player Keane also harmed the club.
