PwC agrees audit fine

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has agreed to pay US$5mn, the largest such fine to date, to settle charges by the US Securities and Exchange Commission of violating federal independence rules in 16 separate audits over the last six years. Two of which involved the supply of consulting services to audit clients.
