Lars Lange, of the International Union of Marine Insurance, stresses the importance of collaboration in efforts to reduce the impact of climate change through decarbonisation in the shipping sector

Most of us agree that combating climate change is the most pressing issue we face - both for the maritime industry and society in general. For shipping, achieving a meaningful transformation leading us to net zero is complex but not unattainable. All stakeholders have a role to play: it will only be through collaboration and knowledge sharing that shipping will move closer to its ultimate ambition of carbon neutrality.
