CJC’s terms of reference for review into third-party civil litigation funding

The Civil Justice Council (CJC) has published terms of reference for a review into third-party civil litigation funding. The review is undertaken at the request of the Lord Chancellor, Alex Chalk, and follows the announcement of plans for new legislation to make it easier for members of the public to secure the financial backing of third parties for claims launched against large corporations (the Litigation Funding Agreements (Enforceability) Bill).
