Personal injury claims fell 24 per cent in fourth quarter of 2023

Damages claims were down 10 per cent at 21,000 for the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter in 2022, driven by a fall in personal injury claims, according to the “Civil Justice Statistics Quarterly: October to December 2023”, published by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Personal injury claims were down 24 per cent to 13,000, the lowest level since the second quarter of 2009.
