Big increase in time for civil claims to reach trial

The time it takes for some civil claims to reach trial has increased by an average of 62 per cent since 2016, according to analysis conducted by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). The APIL said it has given written evidence to the House of Commons Justice Select Committee’s inquiry into the work of the County Court.
