Salvage - Entitlement of salvors to salvage - Whether salvage contract had been entered into - Intention to be bound - International Convention on Salvage 1989

This was an appeal by the owners of Ever Given against the ruling of Andrew Baker J ([2023] 2 Lloyd's Rep 201) that no agreement had been reached for the salvage of the vessel and accordingly SMIT was entitled to payment for salvage services under the International Convention on Salvage 1989.
