Drug breakthrough for treatment of mesothelioma

Scientists have developed a drug to treat mesothelioma in what is being described as the biggest breakthrough in two decades, The Guardian has reported. It said scientists are hailing the “truly wonderful” arrival of a new therapy. In an international trial spanning five countries, led by Queen Mary University of London, a new drug that cuts off the tumour’s food supply quadrupled three-year survival rates, the paper reported.
