Pilot error in Taiwan

A report from Taiwan’s Aviation Safety Council suggests pilot error as the chief cause of the crash of Singapore Airlines Flight SQ006 on take-off from the wrong runway at Taiwan in October 2000. Confusing runway markers and other aspects of the airport may have been contributory to the crash and 83 deaths of the Los Angeles-bound plane.
