Contaminated land exposure assessment

The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has launched the contaminated land exposure assessment model. This aims to provide a scientific method for the assessment of risks to human health from land contamination. The model, and associated documents, will assist landowners who commission environmental investigations to assess the need for cleanup under the statutory Contaminated Land Regime.
