Additional Clauses and Provisions

28.1 Introduction

The parties to ship sale agreements may agree to modify or supplement the standard terms of their agreement. While modifications will often be made by the amendment of specific printed terms in the standard form agreement, usually supplements will be made by the inclusion of certain additional provisions which aim either to regulate the working of the parties’ relationship under the agreement or to regulate issues that are specific to a particular shipping sector or sale transaction.
