NHS charge increase withdrawn

Recent amendments to the Road Traffic (NHS Charges) Act, raising the amount an insurer could be required to pay when the victim of a road accident is admitted to hospital to £30,000, have been withdrawn. The Association of British Insurers had objected there was no prior consultation of the insurance industry.
