Tobacco update

A claim based solely on vascular disease, allegedly caused by smoking, is being heard in the US District Court, Kansas City.The claimant argues that R J Reynolds and Brown & Williamson knew as far back as the 1940s that smoking caused vascular disease but concealed this from the public. The defendants’ attorneys claim the plaintiff rejected health warnings and would have developed peripheral vascular disease from other sources.
