An ‘Insultingly low bonus’ and subsequent ousting from job as an analyst leads to £1.4mn compensation in respect of sex discrimination and unfair dismissal. In calculating the award the tribunal decided the £25,000 bonus should have been £170,000 but balanced this against the chance that the woman would have lost her job in the subsequent Salomon/Schroder merger.
