Carriers warned of evolving drug smuggling methods

Narcotics smugglers have always used shipping as part of their trade. But the costs for carriers can be high, and crew are being increasingly targeted, writes James Baker of Lloyd's List

Drug smugglers are using increasingly sophisticated methods to transport narcotics by sea, with the container sector being particularly at risk of becoming involved in the shipment of illicit cargoes.
