Mother failed in attempt to obtain full disclosure of serious case review report

R (Pollock) v CYSUR: Mid and West Wales Safeguarding Children Board [2023] EWHC 299 (Admin)

A mother has failed in her attempt to obtain the full report of a serious case review following the death by suicide of her daughter. The High Court held that CYSUR, the Mid and West Wales Safeguarding Children Board, had no power to release a serious case review written by a body that is now defunct. The application in this case demonstrated some of the difficulties that can arise after services are reorganised.
