Gallagher in the US is warning that nuclear verdicts continue to plague the US transportation sector noting that the exponential growth of settlement amounts (up by 300 per cent since 2015, reaching US$200 million in 2020) means that liability insurance is more difficult to underwrite and carriers are choosing to exit unprofitable markets.
