Cyber research

The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) and ClassNK have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a framework on cooperation in cyber security research activities. The two parties will conduct joint research in establishing cyber security operation centres that provide crew members with onshore support in monitoring and responding to cyber events on board. SSA and ClassNK will work on a joint white paper based on the findings from the research and develop education and training plans for personnel at the operation centres.
