On 16 July 2018 there was a northbound Suez Canal convoy. At the head of the convoy was Al Manamah, a large container ship, leading a small Egyptian military ship ENS Sagam Shalateen and two very large container ships NYK Falcon and NYK Orpheus. On that morning NYK Orpheus ran into Panamax Alexander in the Suez canal. Panamax Alexander had been damaged in a collision the previous day, the collision having been found by Teare J to be Panamax Alexander's fault ( The Owners of the Vessel "Sakizaya Kalon" v The Owners of the Vessel "Panamax Alexander" [2021] 2 Lloyd's Rep 70).
